The 2009 Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival
Kicks Off the “1st Gumbo Gathering”
Fundraiser for Gleaners Food Bank Featuring
“THE SAUCE BOSS”
Bill “The Sauce Boss” Wharton will be making his return appearance, by very popular demand, at the 2009 Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival on Friday and Saturday.
But before the festival even begins, the Sauce Boss will be serving his famous GUMBO at the Brighton Courtyard by Marriott from 1:00 - 2:30p.m. Everyone from every walk of life is welcome to participate. Come and meet “The Sauce Boss” and enjoy his culinary calling-card!
Since 1990, “The Sauce Boss” has fed over 150,000 people taking his blues and a huge pot of gumbo to the disaster zones of the Mississippi delta, to homeless shelters across America, fed war veterans, hurricane survivors, and plenty of other regular folks who come for music but leave with much more. The Sauce Boss offers up sustenance and redemption in the form of music, food, and above all, the love of the brotherhood of man.
If you are able, please drop a donation or bring a bag of non-perishable food items for the Gleaners Food Bank to this fun filled event.
